Master Cleanse - I did it again!

I'm on Day 10 of the Master Cleanse(MC)!
I've done it a couple of times before, but this time was a little different.

Note: I know there are a people who do not think positive thoughts about the MC and that's okay. To each his/her own.  I have no problem with the MC and I like it...a lot. If you do have a problem with it, you might want to skip  this post. Thanks!

I didn't experience any sickness/weakness, just a headache for a few days. Only one of those days was a real headache. It was more of a tension headache just over my left eye. I'm not sure if that was due to me stressing over my laptop going bonkers on me (big repair bill). The other 2 days were just nagging, light headaches.  Last year, I had a few days where all I wanted to do was lie in bed and sleep all day.  I guess I had a lot of toxins that got all stirred up and had headaches.

I only lost about 3lbs this time (last year I lost about 15lbs). I'm thinking that is because I ate clean for so long that I didn't have a lot of 'junk in my trunk' to lose. I can tell that I lost inches because my pants fit a little differently. I have a muffin top and it went down a little, but I was hoping it went down a lot more. Oh well, guess I have to really focus on exercising to get rid of that. Initially I had planned to do the C25K program during the cleanse, but I decided not to because I thought I wouldn't have the energy to do it. I realized that I could have started because I didn't get weak or tired. I actually had lots of energy.

The last 2 times I did the MC, day 3 was the hardest. This time I had a really rough Day 7. I wanted to eat all kinds of junk. I was thinking about eating stuff that I hadn't eaten in over a year...stuff that I don't even like to eat. LOL!  Of course once I got to Day 7, there was no turning back. I couldn't have eaten anything without getting sick so I kept going. Day 8 was also rough, but it wasn't as bad as Day 7. LOL!

I think the next 10-day cleanse I do will be a Smoothie/Juice Feast (instead of the MC). I just want to see what the differences will be in the way it makes me feel and to see if I have major food cravings and to see if there is a weight loss.  Tomorrow(Thursday) is Orange Juice Day. Friday is Orange Juice in the morning, Smoothies for lunch and a salad for dinner. After that I will eat as clean as possible with a mostly  High Raw Diet.

Overall I am pleased with this cleanse and I'm so glad I made it through again. I feel like I accomplished something. Woot-Woot!

Welcome To My Blog!

Thank you for visiting the Raw Body Fitness blog!
I'm just getting started on the blog and there is so many topics I'd like to write about...I don't know where to begin. So here we go...

Please review the 'ABOUT' section to learn a little bit more about me and why I started this blog. Feel free to leave a comment and/or ask questions.

Right now in my life, the 2 things that seem to be consuming me the most is Food & Walking. I'm trying very hard to maintain a healthy diet by increasing my intake of Raw Foods. I mostly eat a lot of salads, whole fruits and vegetables and I drink lots of Green Smoothies.

I've chosen walking as my form of exercise for now. I feel that walking is the best form of exercise for me right now because I haven't been very active (read: I'm out of shape). I also think that walking will reduce the risk of injury. I've been reading a lot of blogs about food & fitness and most of the bloggers seem to be runners so I'm reading all about the injuries that runners can get. Kinda scary. Right now I'm walking about 2.5 miles every other day either on the treadmill or outdoors (now that Spring is here!). I hope to eventually start running, but I want to take my time and work up to it.

Questions: What type(s) of exercise do you enjoy doing to get fit and stay in shape? How long does your workout session usually take?
